Weekend Getaway

This idea was developed for the inter team hackathon in MakeMyTrip. Travel enthusiast people these days took small break from work and look for desirable weekend getaway. They always have to look for bit and pieces of information from many websites like tripadvisor, lonely planet, travel guide available on internet and magazines. What if there is solution in market which is easy to use and trustworthy?

Process followed: User Centered Design

Empathize

  • Get into the shoes of real travellor and plan to go for holiday.
  • Done several interviews
  • Try to understand user views

Define

  • Provide a tangible solution to travel enthusiasts who travel on weekend frequently. It should be trustworthy, enriched with information & safe.

Ideate

  • Diverge and then converge findings how it can fit business goals and user requirement

Prototype

  • Detailed prototype was developed with multiple options.

Test

  • It was tested with the users before finalization

Tech savvy, group traveller, money saving mind, corporate job, want to enjoy every weekend, intelligent, like offers and discounts, fitness enthusiast, likes photography and memories maker and active on social media. urban mindset for dressing and food, easily get adjust with IT industry people, need private space at times. Doesn't hesitate to pay online.

Hassle free booking of cab, hotels and activities.Technology for all LOBs are ready

WEAKNESS

Packages are fixed not based on people interests, it can't be modify as per need. Lack in giving experience of small little things.

OPPORTUNITY

Provide perfect getaway to group travellors. Give each and every bit of information regarding trip based on interests of users.

THREAT

The product might fail if we can't deliver what is promised. Model can be readily copied by others.

It has a huge role in the solution. Safe, trustworthy, delightful, enjoyable, peaceful, full of adventure, happiness, love for - food, people, place, living creatures, nature. activities & hobbies, fear to get lost, regret to miss things.

The idea was to keep the landing page simple as possible.

Destination Page

Testing of prototype was conducted with users and iterations were done based on the findings. Second design options with various variation was also tested with users and feedback was taken.
